weekend so far

Last night we went to see the LA screening of Tokyo! and saw Michel Gondry and Ayako Fujitani afterwards. The movie and them during the Q and A were so great! I took some paparazzi photos afterwards :). And so far this morning, I have just had some coffee and waffles.

The paper cutouts and illustrations in the second to last photo were done by rutu who always gives me such beautiful handmade things. She is an amazing illustrator! I also really love that jewelry she gave me. It's supposed to be hooked on the saree at the waist :) :)

kottayam, kerala 2007

I was revisiting some old travel photos from a trip to Kottayam, Kerala with my mom in Fall 2007 which is post-monsoon season in India and everywhere it's so lush. I hadn't seen these photos in so long and didn't really share very many here. The backwaters of Kottayam are so incredibly beautiful and it was so wonderful to experience it with my mom.
